SMTCL’s Five Advanced Products Selected for MIIT’s Innovation Product Manual for NEV and Component Manufacturing

Recently, the 2024 Automotive Technology and Equipment Development Forum was held in Suzhou, where the General Technology Group was invited as the only state-owned enterprise representative in the industrial machine tool sector. At the forum, the MIIT’s Center for Equipment Industry Development released the Innovative Products Handbook for Industrial Machine Tools (NEV and Parts Manufacturing). Five advanced SMTCL products, including the HMU160 Horizontal Five-Axis Machining Center and the Copper-Aluminum Composite Pole Friction Welding Equipment, were successfully selected for inclusion.

1.HMU160 Horizontal Five-Axis Machining Center for NEV Subframe Components

The HMU160 Horizontal Five-Axis Machining Center is tailored for high-efficiency processing of subframe components in new energy vehicles (NEVs). 2.FW1001 Copper-Aluminum Composite Battery Pole Friction Welding for NEVs

The FW1001 Friction Welding Machine is specifically designed for welding copper-aluminum composite battery poles used in new energy vehicles (NEVs). This high-flexibility equipment offers automation, intelligence, and robust reliability, ensuring consistent and stable weld quality. In January 2022, the FW1001 passed a third-party scientific evaluation, which confirmed that its overall technology matches the advanced level of similar international products. This machine has set a new standard, filling a critical gap in China's high-end friction welding equipment for power battery poles.
The event, organized by the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, also featured the "Industrial Machine Tool+” B2B Matching (Automotive Special Edition)" and other specialized activities. Its goal is to create the nation's first high-level platform focused on "Automotive Technology and Equipment Development."

The Innovative Products Handbook for Industrial Machine Tools (NEV and Parts Manufacturing) compiles over 100 innovative products from 64 leading companies in the industrial machine tool sector. This handbook is designed to guide efficient demand-supply alignment in the "Industrial Machine Tool+" automotive industry, accelerating technological advancement and upgrades in industrial machine tools. In January 2022, the FW1001 passed a third-party scientific evaluation, which confirmed that its overall technology matches the advanced level of similar international products. This machine has set a new standard, filling a critical gap in China's high-end friction welding equipment for power battery poles.
